CCHC Reaches Fundraising Goal for MRI

CONCORDIA, KS: The Cloud County Health Center today announced all funds needed for the MRI addition and machine for the new North Central Kansas Medical Center have been secured. “With some recent contributions from private parties and other organizational funds, we have been able to place our order for a permanent MRI machine to be delivered before we open the doors to our new facility in October,” said Dave Garnas, Administrator.
The Cloud County Foundation for Health Care, CCHC’s charitable foundation, has been working since last summer to raise funds for the additional space and the machine. “Our first goal was to raise enough funds for the actual space for the MRI,” continued Garnas. “We were overwhelmed with community support and were able to raise enough funds for the suite by August. The next task was raising funds for the machine, or approximately $1.1 million, and we’ve done just that.”
Phil Gilliland, CCHC board president, expressed appreciation to the community for its support. “There were gifts of $100 and there were gifts of $100,000. The many people who decided to prioritize their giving for this special project are greatly appreciated. This new permanent service is one that will help enhance the health of our community for many years to come.”
