Family Care Center offering free sports physicals for students

May 29, 2026 — The Family Care Center at North Central Kansas Medical Center is offering free sports physicals at its clinic locations in Concordia, Clyde and Jamestown from June 22 through August 21.

Students participating in school sports are required to complete a sports physical before beginning team practices. Appointments are required for all sports physicals and can be scheduled by calling the Family Care Center at (785) 243-4272.

Families are encouraged to call early to secure a spot before the August 21 deadline. Families also are encouraged to schedule a well-child visit during the same appointment to help ensure students stay up-to-date on annual preventive care, immunizations and overall health needs.

“We want to make it as convenient as possible for families to prepare their students for a safe and successful school year,” said Curtis Hawkinson, administrator at NCK Medical Center. “By offering free sports physicals, and encouraging well-child visits at the same time, we are helping students stay healthy both on and off the field.”
