The Gold Award of Excellence is earned by completing nine requirements during the year. These requirements involve a great deal of time, effort and hard work on the part of many members. Two or three times a year, NCKMC Volunteers provide and serve meals to blood donors when the Bloodmobile comes to Concordia. The Volunteers awarded three scholarships in 2023 to students entering a healthcare field of study. The Gift Shop, located on “Main Street” of the hospital, sells cards and gifts for many occasions and has recently added new spring items.

NCK Medical Center Volunteers has hosted several fundraisers, including linen sales, Fall Fest bake sale, food sale at an auction, and scrub sales. The Volunteers decorated and donated two small Christmas trees for the medical area of the Cloud County Museum. They also adopted five families at Christmastime, as well as conducting many other activities. Anyone interested in helping the Volunteers (formerly Auxiliary) may contact Marilyn Flesher, President, or any Volunteer member.

NCK Medical Center Administration is proud of the Volunteer organization and commends them for achieving the prestigious Gold Award in 2023!
